Bus,
Welcome to the forum & we love seein' Father & Son builds. Always loved the time I spent with my Dad wrenchin', cuttin' & hammerin'! Please keep us in da loop!!!
Welcome to the site. Glad you found us. Its great to see the father/son projects. I can't wait until my boy is old enough to get out in the garage and lend a hand.
I've got 2 daughters 4 & 2yrs. old both of the like being out in the garage with me, but my 4yr. old is really starting to take an interest in my latest project. She has been obsesssed with getting a steering wheel & colmn into the car, & requests a wrench of some kind whenever she is out there with me.
Your Dodge project is looking real good. It's a nice looking body style and you guys are doing a nice job. I'm working on a project with my 17 year old grandson, trying to keep the tradition going.
Nice truck busman; Congrates on the son helping. My son is 17 and helps me on my 50f1 a lot.(when he's not chassin the girls) I have a 32yr old Daughter that is my gear head. She helps me every time she comes to visit.
Made a little more progress today. Got a ford 8.8 rear end 3.73 posi. Waiting on shackle bushings but have a roller. Still need some gusseting but gaining.
I like it, especially the Father Son part. Not enough Dads and Moms do this kind of bonding thing anymore and it's a shame. It really builds the Kid's self-esteem too and helps keep them away from stupid stuff.
I've got a '39 Dodge, essentially the exact body as your '41. Really looking forward to getting it on the road. I'm watching your progress and am gonna steal some ideas from you........I LOVE to steal ideas.
You're truck is looking sweet. What a nice BIG workspace. Soon as the weather warms up here, we will be getting on my son's Corvair. He's 15 and calling the shots on the build direction. He even bought it with his own money when he was 13, had it dropped off when I was working out of state. Chip off the ol' blockhead I guess It has to be the best bonding time with a child.
