Some engine stats:
This winged beast has 1307 HP, 1206 ft-lb of tork. He's running a 445 CID Chevy SB-1 headed small-block engine with Banks Power Twin-Turbo kit. More info can be found here:

I went up to the mountain this past Saturday to check out the car testing sessions. Race and official practice sessions are first week of July.

E-man, I would love to have that Benz! Those late 50's SL's are artwork! It would drive all the Germans nuts to leave it as a rat. :rolleyes:
 
S.S.,the fellow that owns that panel probably had offers to buy it but turned them all down saying "not for sale, gonna' fix it up".
 
He's still planning to. Shouldn't take much. It ran when he parked it. He going to get a new battery for it, and maybe some fresh gas.
 
Take something like a Kubota moose snare to get that tree out of it without
crushing it now but it isn't too far gone for me. I like 'em rough.
