Still kicking gents.... no work on the hot rod but built a new set of deck stairs on the other side of the deck to get ready for the new septic system. Composite Trex, 7 Stringers, Great Railings (that's the mfr).
None of this stuff is cheap anymore.... Materials alone cost me 6k. Arrg. Have to apply the fascia to the upper outer stringer and I'm done

So the wife says....honey the stairs look great, how bout we resurface the deck with matching Trex. So I take up the old decking which was Gray Certianteed Boardwalk it was very dull and worn, pressure washed the hell out of it over the last 30 years. So of course I had to replace some joists, sister up some joists, lag bolted the ledger board into the rim joist and replaced the decking with the Trex. Gee Wiz I'm beat. The tar papered wall in the rear will get sided once the siding arrives. Been on this for almost 4 weeks now. Only thing left to do is replace that warped BBQ Roof Posts and wrap them, and run the joiner that will run side to side in the middle. That's my old azz, my oldest son and the grandson, other picture is my younger son.....he's the builder of the F100's

Great job! Looks great! We redid our wood deck to Trex a couple years back. We were lied to that pressure treated doesn't rot. Lots to replace of the framework. Jim

Oh yeah... treated rots! I'm replacing several boards on my 10 year old back deck. It just doesn't rot as fast as untreated & it seems some boards don't get treated as well as others!

Thanks! Yes PT does rot especially if ground contact. The old PT wood was much better and lasted longer.....this build will outlast me. Arrrggg
