stock or not?

Hey peeps!! Have a solid 53 Pontiac Chieftain. Want a daily driver. It has a good straight 8 with auto hydramatic. Thinking about just lower her a bit (has skirts) upgrade brakes ( prolly not disc). Keep the car # matching or consider a newer powerplant? Jus' want a cool old car that's dependable and fun to drive. ( low and slow))

I think I would just keep it stock and roll in it! Lowering it sounds good, and any safety upgrades I agree with =) Pics?

yeah, I think I got good advice. Keep 'er stock-upgrade brakes and maybe do something about the cave man steering (lol).. Thanks!

Drove a 50 Buick sedanette with a straight 8 and a kindaslow trans as my daily for 3 years. Drove like a dream. Damn I miss that car...Leave it stock.
