Did not keep much of it,, $cylinder pinto motor has a hole in the side auto trans not worth putting behind larger engine (302) planned. Rear suspension inadequate, Front axle has an early drop made to it.. Used a newer one from when I found a body project
 
bought a Father /son project with a mock up Mopar 318?automatic and rear. Engine was not running, trans painted orange so doubt it worked either and the rear suspension was a wreak,, Mopar rears are sure pretty though, however me being into 65/66 mustangs, it all had to go. The rear frame rail was rusted beyond repair however it had an aftermarket front end with disc brakes!!! That went on the original frame.. steering on both frames could not be used, had to use a vega box
 
A new firewall was fabricated and floor supports were welded in. Fabricated a steering drop from old crossmember.

dropped the now removable body onto the frame only to find out my 66 mustang seats are too wide,, had to buy some tractor seat.. need to be low as the body is channeled. still need to add seat belts.

working on covering fuel tank from interior..shifter and dash done. Wiper and new glass installed as well a rear view mirror. Fan shroud and upper radiator brace made for shortened radiator. Side pipes need a bit more deadening.. Too loud right outside the doors..

All the lights work, ebrake good, runs, drives straight, stops. Now I have to hook up a horn, cover fuel tank and make outside fill, make roof bows. OH and get registered Need a title or help registering in Pa ..

Welcome looks like a good project! I've got a 65 mustang fastback that I probably should be working on instead of some of my other projects LOL
