    the lurkers are taking over

    I'm somewhat guilty of being a lurker mostly because I'm not building a rat at the moment anyway, but would like to at some point. I've got to finish my panel first. I did have hopes at getting a 32 chevy coupe but found it met its match with a dozer so I'll have to wait to see what else comes...

    Model A beltline

    Thanks for your reply, I have another question. Does the pullman work like a plinishing hammer or is it an actual press motion that does the forming? I'm not familiar with metal working machines but would like to be.

    Model A beltline

    That piece looks really nice, I'm not in the market for one of those but always interested in how things are made. Curious,why the 90% bend, is that to hold it straight while it's going through the pullman? I wish I had access to machinery like that because I like seeing how things work and...

    Introduction of 56panelford

    Thought I'd show the frame I was using for my panel, it's a 72 c10 chassie. The drive train is going to be donated from the 90 chevy in the background to the left, it has a 350cu.in with auto trans, my plan is to use the rear diff as well. I've got to take some pictures tomorrow of the panel...

    anyone building a 57 ford station wagon?

    That 57 looks awsome and I think that Edsel would be rare no. wise. I can't help you much but there is a car club in Winnipeg Manitoba called the Fabulus 50's and there is a guy there that is able to recreat any body panel that built a basket case panel delivery for Piston Ring. I believe it was...

    Introduction of 56panelford

    Yeah, it's solid now but not so solid when I started out. It's taken me long enough to get it where it is now, I seem to spend a lot of time scratching my head wondering what I should do next, this is my first project I'll have under my belt. I do appreciate all your compliments, thanks.

    It's been a few weeks since I've posted on here but thought I'd share my last accompishment as I've sprayed bedliner to the underside of my panel. My plans are to spray the high build primer to the main body next weekend. Here's the link to the picture;

    Removing Mill oil from metal

    That's what worked best for me, that mill scale is tougher than the steel it's covering.
