an4 or an6 for fuel line

    No. That's only 1/4". Use #6 (3/8") If you weren't aware, AN #'s refer to 16ths of an inch. #4=4/16, #6=6/16, etc...

how many drive with 2 feet??

Two-footer here. Just because you use both feet, doesn't mean the left foot has to ride on the brake pedal! Can vouch for using both pedals at the same time in a sprint car, however-even @ wide open!

Dissy timing on 4.3 v6 and SBC???

    distributor, not dissy or dizzy!

    Cam/Vacuum/Carb/Stall Issues

What's your base timing? You probably need 15-20 degrees initial timing to clean up the idle with a cam like that, and then would also have to lower the idle speed, because it will rise with adding timing. Also make sure your total timing isn't way too high if you do this, also. A vacuum can...

    Alcohol burner??

Alcohol is not illegal to burn. Methanol is already a poison-drink it and it will kill you-gas or no gas in it. It runs cleaner than gasoline because it only has one carbon molecule, whereas gas has 8 carbon molecule to break up when it burns (if I remember correctly from school)

    holesaw guide

I use this to drill holes in round tube race car frames for bolt spuds. works better than burning up step drill bits! This way I can use a 3/4" holesaw for welding in pieces of 3/4" .120 wall tubing. Plus it makes cool little curved washers (I guess for curved 1/4" bolts?):D

    Let's see your Race Cars!

Here is mine. 410 sprint car, raced in southern Ohio 'til this year. One boo boo in there, too

    I need advice on a 350 vortex

The TBI engines were never vortec (not vortex) headed from the factory. Vortec heads are 96-98 350 trucks (and some later vans, I think). Don't want you to build up an engine thinking you have heads that maybe you don't actually have-wouldn't be the first time. Also, all vortec heads have the...

    Questions about Quick Change rears

If you go the quick change route, don't let anyone tell you it's ok to run helical cut quick change gears in the back, as they are out there. Have to be straight cut gears or it will not last! There is no thrust bearings/washers anywhere in the back of a quick change rear to accomodate any...

    fuel injectors !!

Just curious-what kind of sprint car runs electronic injectors?

    Breathers-baffles-pcv???????????

With a PCV, you need a breather in the other valve cover (or somewhere). You get leaks with a PCV only setup when you are on the throttle hard and then let up. The built up pressure can't excape fast enough through the PCV valve, so if finds other places to escape. I did same thing as you...

calipers, in front or rear of axles?

Figured out real quick this can be a very complex subject-here is my take (I think). Since I race a sprint car, that's where I'm coming from here. We have a one-piece solid, live rear axle that doesn't have tubes, but has a birdcage (bearing carrier) on each side. That is what our radius rod...

    Radius Rod Mounting need help

Maybe it's the picture, but your rod ends (especially lower left front) appear threaded out way, way too far. You need to have at least what the diameter of the threads are in to the tubing, ie... 1/2"-20 thread should be threaded into the tube 1/2"-that is an absolute bare minimum and is still...

    Engine disassembly – stuck pistons

That works, but you don't heat the bolt, you heat the surrounding metal to make it expand and allow the wax to wick into the gap.

    Engine disassembly – stuck pistons

Muradic acid works, but I don't know about dissolving whole pistons. It is really good for if you have small chunks of aluminum galled to steel, ie...melted piston pieces stuck to a cylinder wall or underside of a iron head. Should be able to find it @ most hardware stores. Just soak a rag...
