Are you sure it's from a '42? That's a rare car...I'd hate to see a hard-to-find piece like that butchered to fit a truck cab, when there's probably 100's of '42-'47 truck hoods available with just a little hunting...

No,it won't...at least it's not going to "bolt-on", it will require ALOT of surgery...you're better off finding a truck hood.

There was a discussion going on over at the Tri-Five Chevy forum about doing this...in the thread about a 4-door to 2-door conversion, a couple of the guy's said they were thinking about trying it! Apparently, someone already did!

It kinda looks like a truck unit with that large shell and upright grille...
