I am using a rebel wire harness on my t-bucket and decided to use a one wire alternator (basic gm one wire conversion). I noticed when i was cranking it the alternator was getting hot. Is this heat normal? I am running a 8 guage wire to the starter stud from the rear lug on the alternator...

Exactly. It is infinately easier to buy a unit that already has a title, but if your pushed into a corner this is the easiest way to go. I kinda took the long way around in explaining that in my last post.
