still looking for an easy cruiser...

while I rebuild the original motor in my Nash... found a 1961 Lincoln Continental sedan the other day... odo shows 47,000 miles ( might be 147,000 ) but the carpet looks too nice, & the interior looks dried out ( red leather ) not worn out, so maybe 47,000 ??? car lot pulled it out of an old...

I often see parts listed on E-Bay as Model T, A ... were some parts interchangeable ( windshield posts, etc. ) hoods ??? to me, looking at pictures, the A & T's look similar, but maybe the A's were a little wider, & longer in the leg room area... is there a data base / website, that compares...

carb falling apart with this modern gas... any help ???

Carb suggestions... got a 1938 Nash in original condition... I'm trying to keep it "looking" original, but am not afraid to modify internals, if it still "looks" original for example, I was getting sick of the dripping packings & greasing the original water pump... so I had my machinist buddy...

    Voltage quandry... need advice...

so 1st off, this is not really a "rat" more like a survivor, which I'd like to keep "looking" as original as practical... the car... 1938 Nash Lafayette trunk back sedan... ( I bought the car with 36,000 original miles ) since the car is so low, & I don't have a lift, & a previous owner had...

Any of use guys use bearing spring sliders instead of shackles ???

I know most are doing the air ride thing, but I'm building an old school ( pre air bag ) rod... I've bumped up my frame 6 inches or so, so I can run the front roll pan at 4-5" off the ground, & still have 6-7" of wheel travel... I'm running a shorter mono spring up front, & have my traditional...

    Muscle cars of '79 ???

My wife has her 1st car yet... a 79 Camaro 350 4 speed... really low miles ( like less than 60,000 ) because she had to put it away when she was younger or she would have lost her license... when we met, I did some upgrades to it, & she drove it a couple summers, then it sat... & sat... & sat...

    Liking this trend towards trucks...

I've almost never been a car guy... I bought my 1st collector car ( a 1938 Nash Lafayette ) a couple years ago... & I have to think really hard, but it's been like 30 years since I drove a car as a daily driver... since I'm newer to the classic car / hot rod scene, I'm not in a position to call...
