So this probably isn't our typical built around here, but it's kind of out of the ordinary and quirky so I figured you guys might want to follow along. 1974 Mercury Colony Park. Acquired the car through the owner of Cleopatra that we finished up this spring. Here's a short walk around video and I'll also post some pictures of it up. Not an over-the-top Bill going to fix a few small things like the headliner put wheels and tires on it. Lower it and most likely redo the vinyl wood grain on it.

Here we go

I love stuff like that. Even though the 70s wasn't the height of good taste or styling and they were real proud of plastic they hadn't figured out how to make well (looks like yours is standing up well)
A bumper pull camper of the same year, equalizer hitch and off to Yellowstone for summer vacation!!!

Yes sir! Wally World we come!

A movie theme car! I can see it at a show with a 'granny' doll lashed to the roof and a stuffed dog tied to the bumper. "He kept up for a while". Its all good..

Been picking away at the list on the merc-cruiser, brake booster and master cylinder. Some carb tuning and hunting down vacuum leaks. It was finely time for its first drive in 21 years! Come along for the ride.

Cleaned up the merc-cruiser this weekend. Pressure washer and a good scrub. Also tested some various chemicals for stripping the vinyl off the sides.A new bottle of aircraft stripper worked really well. 3M makes some wood grain vinyl remover ,But it's $40 a bottle and I have heard mixed reviews about it. The only Thing about the aircraft stripper is it's pulling the paint off . Go figure. That will make a little more work for prep for the new vinyl because I will have to primer underneath with. But if it takes the old nasty final off easiest that's what we will be doing

This thing is killer; you need to bring it on the Hot Rod Power Tour next year.

Thanks. If love to do the power tour, not sure my wife and 3 small daughters would agree riding in a car across the country is as fun as I think it would be hahahaha

It will get clear coated but that's it. Lol

I think it will look good with the black vinyl and faded paint
