Hi there, I'm Dan from the UK, England, Basildon, Essex. Don't all rush off Googling that now.
I am pleased to be here with you all and I hope to learn a bundle from being with you all on this forum.
I have a 1947 Mercury four door town sedan nicknamed Freddie that I have had for a couple of years now. I purchased him from a classic and vintage dealer in Epping, Essex.
He has been here in England for some time,. He had been imported in from South Africa. He has had just a few owners and has been looked after. Some here would dislike the lack of rust on him.
But I can please those who are heavily into more Patina for I am building a 1955 Ford 103E, commonly nicknamed as the sit up and beg. These were originally made at Henry Fords Dagenham Motor company plant in the UK.
I bought the car as a shell a couple of years ago. The previous owner had made a start at hot rodding him but fell at the 2nd hurdle. I have taken over and he is being ratted in the best possible taste. I can talk about him more on a build thread.
Take a look at Freddie for now and I will catch up with you all very soon, so bye for now Dan King.
