Was removing the thermostat housing from the cylinder head (A12 engine) of my girlfriend's 1978 Datsun 120y and broke one of the bolts off (upper right one) in the alloy head.
Had about 1/4 inch of the bolt sticking out of the bolt hole. Tried to undo it with a pipe wrench (Stillson type) and...
Got my grinder out on some white lettered tires the other day, thats pretty cool, I didnt think they had the white wall underneath. Now to make me up a jig to hold the grinder and rotate the wheel!

Yeah I'm pretty new to it all too. I haven't really heard of any problems from using the panhard design, but in theory it just looks like it would pull the whole rear-end towards the chassis rail the bar is attached to. I could see that it would work well on oval track cars with the bar hung...
Why not go with a Watts if you have the room? It will save expensive stress on your spring shackles/shock ends which will undo any advantages of having the pan bar in the first place.
Have you estimated/calculated how much sidewards movement your design will have?
I donno how panhard bars are supposed to do anything apart from limiting suspension travel\bending the crap out of chassis rails. Is there a way to put em in to stop them pulling the diff sideways etc etc that I've overlooked somewhere? They just don't seem logical to...
