    stainless gas lines?

fuel lines I have found that if you heat it up with a propane torch ( just an inch or so ) it is very easy to flare and is a good tight flare, just start to flare it when it is still warm ( watch your fingers ) did all my lines on my car with stainless, brakes too.

    SBC for Gas Mileage

engines My uncle used to commute from northeast ohio to indianapolis for tech school in the seventies. his tried and true combo was a 283 bottom and a 350 top. when i mean top i mean the heads, intake, cam and a 500cfm 2B. these were not new parts , just refurbished junk he collected at home...

    305 build

cam I found out that my diminutive little 267ci was blessed with a larger lift, longer duration cam from the factory, bigger than the 350 of the same era 82 probly cause the 1.72 -1.50 52cc heads are not up to any challenge. if this build sheet is from a heavy car or truck, those are good...

fill her up .... with Morton

morton The thought off makin "shine" would only be for my car,and small engines, due to the fact that these get the lowest amount of mpg. Alcohol is a safe fuel to use is you are eco minded as it is just water vapor and Co2 when burned. corn is 10 bucks a hundred and I could theoreticly make...

fill her up .... with Morton

fuel Often thought i'd drag out the old still and make some alcohol,(meth or eth). corn is cheap enough and so is sugar. Increased power, cooler running, more bang for your buck, you just burn more juice to gas ,but would almost be free.

    Calculating displacement!

cubic inches Havent messed around with a nailhead, but a small block chevy .30 350ci would make 355, and a .60 would produce 360ci. If your under 400ci I think you add 5ci per cut and above 400ci you would make 10ci per cut assuming stock stroke, rod length and deck height.

Anyone used POR 15 on their body?

por-15 I wouldnt use it under body work, but as a base for applying undercoat to a body. I used "chassis saver" on my caprice under a layer of spray on rubberizer. I have used this with good success on my fourwheeler frame and my friend has used it on his bronco frame. It works well however it...

    Kinmont Brakes...

brakes My sources say, That anyone who would pay $8,000 for a set of brakes is on crack. Just another telltale that e-bay ruins what would otherwise be good junk. LOL

    Boat carbs

boat carbs I dont see why you couldnt get them or other types to work. There is no difference in 2 stroke and 4 stroke carbs, they still atomize and regulate fuel distribution. I run a harley style carb on one of my small pulling tractors, and have ran mikuni, keihin, bing, zenith and a host...

    Deathproof

deathproof Great movie, very entertaining. Poor Nova. Some schmo on You-Tube bought the car ( the undamaged unit ) and there are a few clips of it. Dont think the Mopar fared to well.

    3 or 4 speeds chevys????

trans gears Pull the side covers off ( watch the shift forks they will fall out ), and count the gear teeth like a ring and pinion. The ones i have messed with are usually 1.72-1 or a variable of that. The typical 3 speed has a good ratio for use with those diff gears. While you have the covers...
