I looked at a rebuilt 350 Chevy engine for $400 from an engine rebuilding shop. The block number is 10066036, thats a Mr Goodwrench number and it says Hechto en Mexico (made in Mexico). It is a 4 bolt main, and the guy claims it's a 370 HP engine. Anyone had any experience with these engines?

I keep hearing things about the radiator has to be a certain with the engine. I do know if the fill cap is lower than manifold then a pipe with a fill neck needs to be installed at the highest point. I keep hearing things about cooling problems because the radiator was lower...anything to it?

I have a friend that wants to give away a late 70's Olds Tornado, with a 5.7/350 diesel engine. It was my understanding that the 350 Olds diesel was a conversion from a gas engine, and as a diesel they weren't worth a damn. Can these engines be changed back to a gas engine?
