In the process of this swap and wondered if anyone else has done this? If so, how did you handle the engine and firewall situation? I know I'm gonna have to box it but just like to see some pics of how someone else did it. Thanks.

S-10 chassis

Personally, I'm not a fan of the S-10 chassis - the track is quite narrow, as are the framerails. I'd rather use a car chassis (g-body GM, for instance) or in your case, the Volaré/Chrysler 5th Ave/Diplomat/ETC K-frame swap is popular - complete self-contained front suspension and engine mount provisions for a Chrysler V8. If you wanted to put a Chrysler V8 in an S-10 chassis, you would have to use the less-common rear sump truck pan and then you may have exhaust issues. Plus, the frame rails end up under the seat, which makes it hard to channel the cab over the frame. Lastly, the leaf spring rear suspension isn't easy to Z, but a car 4-link already is.

Either way, good luck. [S

53 and s10

That looks good like how it sits and the front wheels seem to be in the fender well good. Lets see some pics of what room you have under the hood. What are you going to do for a bed? Flat box or just leave it?

I have a rust free bed for it that has the big fenders instead of the small round fenders. I have the firewall cut out and getting ready to start boxing it back in to the cab. Gonna have to go about 8-10" back into the cab. I'll try to get more pics as I work on it. I'm not using the tires and wheels that are on it. They came with the frame and have already been sold. Thanks for the comments.

fire wall

my motor is moved back too, make sure and check the drive shaft angles, had to do some adjusting to get all mine correct.
