Cheapo paint
And kick butt components.
When I am done it will be a great truck.
Now I just need some money.
Hmmm
Who do I know that has money and will be easy to kill?
All my friends are gun nuts so that's out....

Yep. Cool. :D

Cleaned up some more wiring.
Crimp and heat shrink
Heater and spotlight good to go.
Sealed extra holes in firewall and floor boards
Plenty more to do

On the gearing issue and disc brake thing, Would axles from a wrecked modern 3/4 or 1 ton work work? the axles under my 2003 ford F250 are disk front and rear and are on leaf springs.

I would have to narrow the axles
Move the perches
Would not be able to use my wheels and new tires
Have to invent a new steering setup .
Easier said than done.
I would have to hire someone to do that stuff and that would cost a fortune.

the more i drive the m43b1 the better i like it.
driving a 3 1/2 ton antique 4x4 takes some getting used to
there was a guy in a subaru at the gas station with plates that read WAR WAGON .
when i pulled up for fuel
his eyeballs were level with my lugnuts......

Going to install some sound deadener on the transmission hump.
Since it has been butchered I can't do anything wrong to it
I am going to cover it with at least one layer of peel n seal metal backed roof patch
Probably two or three.
Just don't cover the bolts because you can't remove it easily

I am going to tractor supply and buy some rubber mats that they use in horse stalls.
Cut it up and use it for floor mats
It probably weighs 80 or 90 lbs a sheet
That oughta quiet it down some

i went with lucas 50w synthetic trans fluid in my 435 and 420
all new seals and sleeves
they both weep oil but not enough to drip
the 420 seems to run cooler but that might be the power of suggestion from reading on this forum.
i went with lucas instead of amsoil because i didnt have to pay money to join a club in order to not pay stupid money for oil
and it was in stock at my favorite store[cl
