What they don't realize is when you cook them, it takes out most of the bitter taste. I feel like they could put those things through the dryer, and still have at least a break even crop.
Yeah, we had the same thing four years straight back in the 70s. You can grind them with some corn and alfalfa and feed them to the pigs. One year just plowed them in where we plant sweet 'taters and grew some kick butt candied yams.
