I really don't like wiring vehicles, but a long-time friend asked me to wire his '55 Chevy street freak project. I agreed because (A) I really like the guy and (B) I'm nuts. I don't consider myself an expert at wiring, but have wired all my projects and none of them have caught fire, so there's that. Luckily, he brought me the car bare, so that made things easier. Still, after materials, I made about $5.50 an hour, so my estimate wasn't that good. Now his buddy wants me to wire his '55, but this one is complete, a running car, so I'll need to take the carpet loose to run wire under, take the dash apart to replace switches, etc., and remove all the old wiring before I even start. I said I'll came talk to him and give him a quote, but I can tell you right now he's not going to like it.
This is the car I wired. Check out that old school lift kit on the front!
