I am planning on going, too. Whether I make it or not is still up in the air. The financial climate is not at all favorable for anything that costs more than a newspaper. If I don't make it, it'll be the first time in over twenty years. I'll be in my coupe.

Check out Colemanracing.com They have tubing that is sized to allow you to run a tap inside and make your own radius rods. Then you can use rod ends or four bar ends as you wish. The tubing is very reasonably priced.

NOTE: an air chisel is not a good choice, either.

When I was a kid just out of high school, I had a 55 Olds. I used a practice (fake) hand grenade for a shift knob on my column shift. It looked really cool. The fact that the weight of the grenade would unexpectedly pull the shifter down to the lowest gear, generally at speed, was the only down...

I saw one with about an 10" spike driven through its' gut, fake blood all over. Nailed to a 2x12 with the sign "baby on board". Gruesome, but very funny.

Involving spectators is one of my favorite aspects of this hobby. I love to let folks, especally kids, sit in my coupe. I enjoy taking photos for their memorys, too. A late buddy of mine used to put a sign on his 34 roadster at car shows. It read "Touch me, feel me, I am here for a good time"...

I know that it's very early, but anyone here planning on the Daytona Turkey Run this year?
