I believe you could make yourself a good living making those Mr. Plant.

Looking at the prices of the aftermarket frames you are probably right. If customers were willing to lend me there vehicle for a week for fitment... I may just be open for business.

More progress. I have the steering box mounted under the cowl. It is a tight fit but it should work. It is original from the semi chassis so it is a little big. I considered buying something a bit smaller but this works so what the heck. The wheel is a bit big but I like the way it looks. I chopped the steering shaft down, chopped the pitman arm and welded the spline end to a pipe and made a flange for the outside. As you can see I am trying to figure out my steering rod & pitman arm geometry with a piece of 1 inch square and some small diameter tube.

I really like the way you are going on your Cornbinder. I notice your steering wheel is close to the door panel. I have a '35 Int. too, with the original steering wheel and it is close like yours. Occasionally I scrape my knuckles on the rusty door panel. No blood poisoning yet though.
Keep up the good work, powerplant.

Here is what my intake setup may look like. The jury is still out on this though.

More done.

I did take a turn and spent some money. Some obvious things... front wheels / tires, disc brake kit, radiator along with a bunch of other brake parts. I got my hands on a 4x8 sheet of aluminum and I will be attempting to build a pair of bomber seats out of it. I made a steering arm, drilled & tapped a drag link so now I can steer although I need to extend the arm from the spindle to slow down the steering just a bit. Made headlight mounts, radiator is half mounted. I did cut down the intake pipes from my last post but I am still not sure about them. I am going to match the wheel color although I am not sure what I want yet. I also brought up the headers just a bit for some clearance.

I am going to focus on running brake lines, hooking up electrical and going over it to be sure I have all the details covered over the next couple months. Hopefully next spring it will be in the road.

Very cool build and nice tricks you have incorporated.;)
Now if I could only make more room in the shop to get my beaster going faster. Did you get your truck out of Montana? There was truck south of the Townson area for sale a couple years back. Same color and style, just curious. If I had the $500 available at the time, it would be in my yard today :)

Keep up the work, Cornbinders do rule the road.

Excellent build P.P. And a really unusual but great looking body. You do top quality fabrication, IMHO, very very nice. Keep it up. Perley
