WOW, great job on the Dodge! I got a '79 Dodge 440 with an OD tranny. This gives me ideas! I think your rear tires won't last long! Perley

its really a shift knob but i didnt like how it felt so i thought it looked cool on the hood:D got it from http://prostores3.carrierzone.com/servlet/hotrodshiftknob_com/-strse-Pewter-Shift-Knobs/Categories

the brake pedal is pretty close now but i need to get it plumbed and bled to see what i have to work with for travel,it has some adjustment and if need be ill mod it to fit better,it was a set up from speedway and i had to rework the pedal a little already
thanks for the complements

ive been doin some of the crappy stuff ive been putting off,the cab had been wrecked on the right rear corner and had alot of rough brazing rod all along the door opening and drip rail area, plus the cab corner was really thin and the opening had a large gap,i removed the drip rails and opened up a can of worms that was hiding under the right side.heated up all the brass and cleaned it all up,cut the upper door jamb out and straightened it out and lowered it down half inch were it belonged and put some new metal in the cab corner.

i really like the stock 39 headlight buckets, they mount on a cast ball style factory mount and i couldnt find any type of ball mounts inthe normal hotrod books so i got me two $5 1 7/8 chrome trailer balls from tractor supply company and center drilled them in my lathe and cut the ball off the stud, worked like a charm

Really loving this truck!!! I am working on a 41! But mine is not near this far along. I was wondering if I could get some help from you? Those weadlight buckets look to be a lot like the ones that I have but I am not sure what mine are from. Could you measure those so I can see if they are the same. It will make me finding parts for mine much easier since mine don't have the rings or retainers..... Mine are 8" on the openings and around 11 3/4" long. Ineresting way to chop the top on that too, I have never heard of chopping one like that, looks like it turned out great! I am planning a chop on mine maybe that will be the route I go as well. When you moved the cowl back where did you cut it? Thanks

well ive finally got back to getting some things done, got one side of the headers mocked up.been working on a little 1300cc hayabusa drag quad project thats been taking up my time.trying to get the other projects done do i can get the truck done by summer time

Are you sure you got enough motor on that quad? I dont think it will keep up with a jet!! Bet if it had wings it would give a good effort though!!!

well i had the powder coater busy, finished the quad and got back to work on the truck.here its is so far,got the rear end all done,3.91 shure grip, and as soon as i button up the odds and ends on the brakes im going to go through the trans and clean up my boner motor 440 im going to run untill i fund the new build.

hey great lookin ride.on that dart box,did you have to do any modifications to gear box itself other than brackets n such to mount ? i d like to have cowl steering on my 36 chevy p/u. just lookin for most economical way to attempt it .

thnx

thanks guys!
the dart box works out pretty slick, any 60-70's era mopar A,B,E body manual box will work.they turn the right way.i just cut the stock pitman arm so i had the splined portion and spun it down in my lathe to fit inside some tubing. i had a hard time finding a box and almost bought a new flaming river one, good thing i didnt because their quick ratio and with the long pitman arm i have, even with a std box,i had to lengthen the arm off of the spindle to slow it down.
if the box needs rebuilt there are sources for parts too
